Located in and Capitol for the Arcanite Mountains

Home of Goldenmane (family) The Capitol city of the Arcanites and stronghold of Lady Threshia Goldenmane. Built on the ruins of an old mined out mountain. On top of an old dwarven settlement.

Nestled in the bosom of many taller peaks, Threshia winds its way along the jagged sides of a much diminished mountain. Divided into a few distinct layers, with the poor mining families making up the bulk of the valley floor below, the craftspeople form the second layer while the third, highest and most secure are the nobles and religious figures. Purple and gold banners flap in the cold wind howling through the large valley.

Demographics

Mostly human, with a large minority of dwarves with a few elves and Aarakocra. Humans make up the majority of the wealthy segments of society as well as the craftspeople and merchants. There are many humans in the underclass as well, with some dwarven and very few Aarakocra servants.

Government

More or less monarchist.

Defenses

Guards, school of magic, stone walls, forbidding terrain, lack of resources surrounding the city.

Industry & Trade

High quality metals and the goods made from them are the primary exports. Followed by Mithril and God’s Tears. Imports are food from the east, and wood from the south. Ironwood (tree) is of special importance, due to its strength to weight ratio and its high burning point.

Infrastructure

The city has a relatively new aquaduct system for water and some sewage, leveraging their mountain topography. Some tunnels are made through the mountain taking advantage of the undercity.

Guilds and Factions

City Watch Basically a mercenary company, turned government organization due to a long standing relationship with Goldenmane (family) Mage School Founded from one of the more zealous of the Arcane Ascendants Thieves Guilds Venomcry Operates here, and in Wreecaster on assignment, having some safe houses and contacts. Five Finger Viscounts Primary thieves guild in the region, feeding the whore houses and the mines with slaves from surrounding regions.

Geography

Large valley that slopes steeply upward on every side. Small, dangerous mountain roads lead to the different mining camps.

Natural Resources

Minerals, metals, some high elevation animals for game. Tough grasses. Ice from glaciers.
