Mathias was on the side of moderation during the War of Magical Freedom (wip), advocating against acts of terror and extreme violence. As such, he was responsible for defeating a Kraken that was awoken during the war, that would have otherwise had a dreadful impact on both sides. Rumor has it that it was contained within one of his personal affects.

Final mission was to save Chal Udoz from a vampire but it was a trap. Mathias Oxborn was turned into a vampire, used to corrupt the city of Ashdrift. Then he was confined in a crypt under running water. With the climate changing, his crypt was revealed as the river dried up above it. He returned, slaughtering orcs, the “companion” was brought in to save them from Mathias, but still the Orcs were forced West.
